Somerset Chamber of Commerce are delighted to be hosting a series of four workshops in conjunction with Level Up (South West). The Emerging Leaders Development Programme is designed to introduce the core principles of effective leadership to developing leaders.
As businesses and organisations grow and evolve, its senior leaders will always have an eye on where the next generation of managers and leaders is coming from.
Often, though, this opportunity of developing great long-term talent from within gets wasted. It is quite common for an individual who is very good at their job to get promoted into middle leadership positions, only for them to struggle because they haven?t had time or opportunity to develop the key skills required to be a good leader, as well as a good performer.
The Level Up Emerging Leaders Development Programme is a short series of workshops designed to introduce the core principles of effective leadership to your emerging leaders. Delivered in four sessions over four months, participants are encouraged to put their learning into practice straight away and to feedback and review their progress through the course of the Programme.
This series of four, two hour intensive training sessions will set the foundations for emerging leaders to develop their management skills, covering the following topics:
Session 1: Goal Setting (Tuesday 17 April)
The importance of goals in achieving success; Effective goal setting; Set your own personal management goals.
Session 2 : Personal effectiveness (Tuesday 15 May)

Session 3 : Leadership and Team development (Tuesday 5 June)
