DESCRIPTION:Somerset Chamber of Commerce is providing a platform for business sectors to come together and discuss current issues and solutions.\nWe will be joined by Neil Carberry\, CEO of Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) for this closed forum\, which is specifically for businesses operating within the recruitment sector.\n\n\n\nIt will be an opportunity to discuss any issues which are currently affecting the sector and to highlight important trends or statistics during this ongoing period of uncertainty. All discussions will be held in full confidence and will follow Chatham House Rules. \n\n\n\nMaybe you are experiencing too many candidates for each job? More unskilled candidates? Discover how to best tackle these issues and the answers to many more questions during this one-hour forum. \n\n\n\nNeil Carberry was appointed as Chief Executive of the REC in June 2018\, after having been managing director at the Confederation of British Industry\, leading the CBI's work on the labour market\, skills\, energy and infrastructure. In 1999\, Neil began his career in recruitment working for executive search firm Fraser Watson before doing a post-graduate degree in Human Resources at the London School of Economics. He is a member of the council of the conciliation service ACAS and of the Low Pay Commission where he helps guide pay policy in the UK. He will share what trends REC have found within the Recruitment sector and different options that can help your business during this time.\n\n\n\nThe REC is the voice of the recruitment industry\, speaking up for great recruiters. It drives standards and empowers recruitment businesses to build better futures for their candidates and themselves.
