Fundraising Officer for Local Charity

Position: Volunteer Fundraising Officer Location: Langport, Somerset Organization: ESS Education and Support Services Hours: 8-16 Hour Per Week

About Us:

ESS Education and Support Services offer alternative bespoke educational packages for all ages shall I sing in young people who are neat not in education employment or training between the ages of 10 and 25. ESS provide vocational and academic qualifications. ESS offer education, support, advice and guidance to parents, carers and guardians. ESS opened its first Community Hub, in May 2024, providing several services to the community to include a safe space for residents. Our team are all passionate about making a difference within the community and the senior team are looking for dynamic and motivated individual to join our Fundraising team.

Role Overview:

We are seeking dedicated individuals to Fundraise and help ESS achieve its fundraising goals to support our charity’s vital work. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about our mission, have excellent communication skills, and possess a track record of successful fundraising.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with our senior team to:

· Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet the financial goals of the charity.

· Organise and manage fundraising events and campaigns.

· Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and volunteers.

· Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities and donor contributions.

· Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and social media content for fundraising initiatives.

· Provide regular reports on fundraising progress to the charity’s management team.

Experience:

· Proven experience in fundraising, sales, or a related field.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organisational and project management skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Creative thinker with a passion for making a positive impact.

· Familiarity with the local community and local businesses is a plus.
