About Us

We are passionate about what we do, always striving to build meaningful, enduring relationships with clients and industry partners. Fundamental to the success of the services we provide and the projects we deliver is our ability to balance our cost awareness and professional management with innovative, high quality design. Above all we put our clients at the heart of all we do, ensuring we remain focused on their requirements, aspirations and commercial targets from the outset.

Bailey Partnership is an independent practice and has been established for over 45 years. The practice was established in 1971 and currently employ staff within 4 offices across the South of England (Plymouth, Exeter, Bristol and Sevenoaks). Since our inception, we have been engaged on comprehensive range of housing projects in the public and private sectors encompassing new build, refurbishment, maintenance, and management.

As a chartered practice, registered with the RIBA, RICS, CIBSE and CIAT Bailey Partnership are able to provide a full multi disciplinary service comprising Project Management, Cost Management, Building Surveying, Architectural, Town Planning, Building Services Engineering and Principal Designer however we appreciate the scope of this commission is limited to Project Management, Cost Management and Principal Designer duties which form the basis of this submission document.

Our regional offices are under the control of local management and staffed by personnel who are fully conversant with local requirements and market conditions. The practice endeavours to bring an enlightened approach to both the traditional and more recently identified roles of the construction disciplines offered by the organisation as a whole.

We provide an integrated consultancy service covering all aspects of the Design, Procurement, Management and Maintenance of the Built Environment. Our approach is underpinned by the way in which we plan, programme, coordinate, manage, and orchestrate the design team. Communication is seen as a key aspect of managing the process with organised and timely delivery and dissemination of
Information.

With a strong record of experience and achievement, we strive to meet and exceed client expectation by delivering high quality solutions that exhibit design excellence and innovation.

Fundamental to the successful delivery of our projects is a clear understanding of the client’s requirements, aspirations, and objectives, yet maintaining a sufficiently flexible attitude to accommodate changes in these areas. This approach has proved our team can efficiently and successfully deliver projects of varying complexity.

By becoming fully and actively integrated at the early stages into the design process, Bailey Partnership strive to bring an innovative approach to the all important cost function, establishing its relative priority and instilling a cost discipline process within the design team to assist with design development leading to a final 'value for money' design solution which is on cost target. Our role as quantity surveyors covers all aspects of the construction process from the preparation of feasibility studies and development appraisals through to the design process where we provide estimating, cost planning, cost checking services together with comparative cost studies, to the preparation of bills of quantities and other contract documentation. Post-contract services include the preparation of interim valuations, cost monitoring and reporting, cost studies, the preparation of the final account and the settlement of contractual disputes and claims.

We are able to offer all services as individual appointments, bespoke or as a full team.
