PROMOTING SUSTAINABILITY

Cannington Court is a showcase for sustainability and an exemplar
for Net Zero reducing running costs in the process. Onsite
renewable energy and low-carbon heat solutions, electric vehicle
courtesy shuttle service and a vehicle to grid (V2G) scheme are just
some of the ways we are supporting this.

ENERGY CENTRE

Our Energy Centre is the hub of our system extracting underground
heat to provide heating and hot water for the site as well as using
solar panels to provide electricity. We also harvest rain water, have
removed single use plastics, reduced food waste and are
composting our garden waste.

MEETING & CONFERENCE SPACE

We offer 16 meeting rooms varying in size to meet your
requirements. We pride ourselves on high end audio visual
equipment and free fast Wi-Fi access throughout the venue.
Our AV Support Service can help you get the best out of the
facilities available and make your event both more effective
and memorable.

UNIQUE ACCOMMODATION

Fancy staying in an old Benedictine nunnery built in 1138?
As a residential conference venue, we have 50 en-suite rooms.
All have complimentary toiletries, tea and coffee-making
facilities, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and a hospitality tray.
Many rooms have a wonderful outlook on the outer courtyard.
They are modern, quiet and comfortable.

DINING IN SOMERSET

We provide bistro and event dining options using seasonal local produce. We offer a full English or Continental breakfast, buffet and self-service lunch and table-service for dinner. We have a bar area which provides you with somewhere to unwind in the evenings. From gala dinners in historic Clifford Hall, to Christmas parties and smaller private functions, our events team will be delighted to discuss & deliver an amazing experience for you.

TECHNOLOGY

At Cannington Court we can offer unique technical support to
assist you with your training, meetings and events. This includes
advice on how to incorporate our AV facilities to enhance and
compliment your event. This could be an individual Chromebook
for each delegate to directly contribute to the meeting, a Virtual
Reality team building experience, or dynamic translation into text
for hearing impaired delegates. We also offer a Virtual Production
Suite for recording digital material, hosting webinars, or managing
virtual training/meetings.

HINKLEY POINT VISITOR CENTRE

The business links between Cannington Court and the Hinkley
Point C project along with the close proximity to the construction site to run tours, made us an obvious location choice for the Hinkley Point Visitor Centre.
The visitor centre is seamlessly integrated into the
Cannington Enterprise such that the Conference Centre can o er
the unique visitor experience to delegates, and the visitor centre can
offer the wider facilities to their guests, such as the courtyards and
Brassage restaurant.
The centre highlights the importance of the energy mix and how Nuclear power plays an important part through a number of interactive displays. Visitors are encouraged to explore how electricity is created in a fun and immersive way and learn why there is an overwhelming need to produce low carbon energy.
The centre has been designed to showcase the ever-changing
construction landscape at Hinkley Point C as the build progresses
and the importance Nuclear power plays in producing carbon neutral
electricity in the UK.
It is a fascinating story and we look forward to sharing it with you.

Park & Ride:

Approximately five minutes away, a courtesy shuttle bus operates between
the Park and Ride and Cannington Court, Mon to Fri 07:00 - 11:00 & 15:00 -18:00hrs.
Additional pick-ups can be arranged on request via the Reception Team.
