About Us

CTA Planning cover a wide geographical area, from the South West across to London and the South East, and up to East Anglia and the Midlands. Our advice is based on a sound understanding of Planning legislation and policy, in addition to plain common sense which is often lacking in the system!

Chris has over 25 years experience working in Town and Country Planning, and has been a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since 2001. He has an in-depth knowledge of the planning system, and has enjoyed fulfilling a wide number of roles within the profession, from Planning Policy and as a Cycling Officer, acting as an Advisory Officer at a large multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy, to working with developers from within both the public and private sectors on major residential and commercial schemes. He has enjoyed stints of management within Development Control/Management teams in local planning authorities, and has forged many links with a wide range of professionals and experts who complement his work as a Planning Consultant.

Outside of planning work, Chris enjoys spending time outdoors, which includes volunteering on a Community Supported Agriculture farm, growing fruit and vegetables on his family allotment, cycling, camping and walking Penny the schnauzer!
