About Us

Kontrolit started in 1998. This was the early days of the internet, so we’re veterans in web firm terms! As pioneers
negotiating the ‘Wild West’ of the new World Wide Web, our vision was to help businesses take advantage of the
opportunities opening up online by putting our clients in control, without relying on developers and IT specialists to
manage their sites for them.

We recognised the benefits we could bring if we used our expertise to design and build complex websites that enabled
businesses to trade more profitably online, whilst putting you and your team in complete control, day to day.

The answer was our bespoke, modular Content Management System on our own Kontrolit platform, ‘Kit’. We’ve worked
hard over the years since to develop and optimise the perfect system, balancing sophistication and advanced features with
flexibility and ease of use.

This coupled with our expert designers and our in-house digital marketing department enables us to produce a range of good looking and great performing websites, from basic to the high-end enterprise level E-commerce.

Don’t be mistaken, though, in thinking that our promise to put you in control will leave you on your own when you need
advice and assistance. We believe the ongoing support we offer our clients is just as important as the skill and expertise that
goes into the initial design and build.
