Horse Racing
Set in the heart of the Somerset countryside Taunton is England's youngest racecourse. National Hunt racing begins again here at Taunton Racecourse on Thursday 14th November. We've got 16 meetings scheduled throughout the season including evening racing, ladies's day and a big Xmas meeting on 30th December.

Conferences
The racecourse is only two miles from the M5 (junction 25) and a five minute drive from the centre of Taunton. It is well sign posted from both the M5 and Taunton town centre and has two fully self sufficient stands, that have a range of rooms available for business facilities and can accommodate from 12 to 350 delegates in different layouts. This is an ideal setting for conferences and seminars and most rooms have blackout facilities to allow use of the video or other visual presentations.

We have an excellent, highly professional catering service which can provide three course lunches or dinners or buffet meals as requiredv and we also have fully licensed bars. There is free car parking for delegates with 500 spaces available on the Racecourse and a further 1000 free spaces in adjacent car parks.

Weddings
Taunton Racecourse not only holds a licence for civil marriages, but we specialise in catering for wedding breakfasts, evening wedding parties, receptions and dinner dances. We can cater for up to 150 guests for the wedding breakfast and 200 for the evening buffet, reception or dance.

Other Events
Due to the inside and outside space available to us we are also able to hold exclusive events and we have played host to car and caravan rallies, camping fairs, equestrian shows, circuses, athletics events, auto cross sales, french property exhibitions, religious gatherings, rural shows, car boot sales and performances by the ‘Sealed Knot ‘ which re-enacts English Civil War battles as well as open air classical concerts.
