Residential Conveyancing:

Estate Administration:
Whether your loved one died with or without making a Will, we can help guide you through the process of administering the estate. Our team are experienced in dealing with estates and will guide you through the process with an empathetic and personal approach.
We meet face-to-face to discuss the estate and we are always amenable to further meetings where necessary. The initial discussion will be to establish whether a Grant of Probate (where there is a Will) or Letters of Administration (where no Will has been written) is required in order to claim the assets held. Assets are then valued in order to prepare the relevant Inheritance Tax form and application to the Probate Registry. Once the Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration is obtained the assets can be realised. Estate accounts are prepared and presented to the beneficiaries prior to the final distribution of the estate. We agree costs with you right at the very outset so that you know exactly where you stand.
Wills:
Everyone should make a Will and lots of different life events may trigger the need to consider making a Will, at any age, for example:-
Buying a home.
Moving in with a partner.
Getting married.
Losing a loved one.
Becoming a parent.
Getting divorced or changing your marital status.
Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs):
LPAs are extremely powerful documents that give a person or people legal authorisation to act on someone else?s behalf.
There are two types:
Property and Financial Affairs ? this allows you to appoint a person or people of your choice to deal with your bank accounts, investments and property in the event that you become either unable or unwilling to deal with them yourself.
Health and Welfare ? this allows you to choose who will deal with your day to day health and care decisions on your behalf, such as where you might live or what medical treatment you might access, when you can no longer do so.
We would be happy to meet with you either in the office or at your home discuss LPAs and to take your instructions on this matter. Once completed, the document is registered at the Office of the Public Guardian.
Trusts and Trust administration:
If you?re looking for help with Trusts and/or Trust Administration this is something we offer. We are able to deal with the management of trusts and the preparation of trust accounts. Our team includes a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
Our expertise in Trusts and Trust Administration extends to dealing with the most complex of trust matters, together with the submission of necessary returns.
