About Us

The Gorge Outdoors is a family-owned and run outdoor clothing, footwear, and equipment retailer, on and offline. With our showroom in the heart of Cheddar Gorge, we pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and knowledge, and we won't sell you something unless it is right for you!

We have been established since 1998 and have grown from a small independent business to suppliers of many local schools, businesses and organisations, countrywide Universities, large businesses, and emergency services as well as media companies. We ship worldwide.

Our motto has always been that Quality Will Out and stock only equipment and clothing that is at the top of its field. Our main suppliers are Paramo, Mountain Equipment, Montane, and Rab in clothing along with Meindl, Scarpa and Grisport footwear among others.

We are also the local supplier of Petzl work at height and rescue equipment, supplying many local and UK-wide businesses along with West End Theatres, Search and Rescue Teams and the 2012 Olympics!
