Taunton Association for the Homeless are thrilled to announce they will be holding a Black Tie Dinner on Friday 20th July, all in aid of their new veteran's accommodation and support service, Victory House.
Having launched this new service in February 2018, it is important funds are raised to ensure the continued support of clients living within the accommodation. Victory House is an 8 bed accommodation and support service available for veterans who have sadly become homeless. The property consists of 4 lower ground self-contained flats, suitable for those in a wheelchair or with physical disabilities. The first floor has a further 4 rooms with shared facilities. Each client is assigned a 1to1 support work to assist with any difficulties they may face, from education and employment through to securing their own private accommodation. This is an important service as the figure of ex-service personell becoming homeless rises, with support needs becoming more complex and varied.
The Black Tie Charity Dinner on Friday 20th July will really assist with this project, supporting the running of the service. The night is being held at Somerset County Cricket Club and will consist of a 3 course meal, auction, raffle and live entertainment from The Decadettes. Tables are of 10 and tickets are £40 per head.
We'd love for you to join us for this special evening of raising funds.
