Join us for this FREE afternoon networking event, specifically for business women.
Hosted by Somerset Chamber via Zoom, this event offers the opportunity for our members to catch up over a cuppa and continue to build business connections during this time of uncertainty.
We are delighted to be joined by Mary-Clare Rodwell, The High Sheriff of Somerset.
Mary has lived in the Bruton area since 1992. Although she has worked mainly in the art world, she also has experience of the property and forestry industries. In Somerset, she helped her husband run his business. They were keen supporters of the countryside and all its related issues. After the passing of her husband she took on chairmanship of the Art Fund locally, which she ran for 13 years.
Mary-Clare is a keen and enthusiastic member of the village, being treasurer to the village hall for 16 years and on the village hall committee for many more. Through arranging various events, she has fundraised for St Margaret’s Hospice, the Flying Colours Appeal for Yeovil Hospital, Help for Heroes as well as The Art Fund. Taking part in the first Help for Heroes bicycle ride proved a gruelling test of determination. She completed 350 miles in five days raising significant funds. Having reluctantly given up riding, she is a keen reader, tennis player, skier, bridge player and walker with her dog in the beautiful Somerset countryside. She continues to live in the same house and has a strong loyalty to her adopted home county.
Bring your own cuppa, virtual business cards, elevator pitch - and let's network!
