Somerset Chamber, in association with Leonardo's Helicopters, invite you to this must attend Brexit panel. Hear from and ask questions of expert panellists on how to prepare your business.
Undoubtedly the burning issue of the last 18 months has been the UK's withdrawal from the European Union. With much uncertainty still surrounding the exact terms of Brexit and a lack of confidence clouding much of the business community, 2019 promises to be an interesting and potentially challenging year for companies across the country.
To address some of the concerns raised by the local business community, Somerset Chamber of Commerce are holding a half-day Brexit panel, to inform and guide attendees by inviting a variety of experts to speak and to answer questions from the audience. Hosted by Leonardo Helicopters in Yeovil and designed to be of benefit to businesses of all sizes, delegates will hear from Julian Russell, Finance Director UK, about how the helicopter manufacturer have been preparing for Brexit and all it's possible permutations, assigning the project to a team who are tasked with ensuring their EU deliveries and exports run smoothly.
Other speakers on the panel are as follows:
Mark Johnson - National Customs and Trade Control Director from Leonardos logistics partner Kuehne & Nagel, will discuss the tariffs and customs implications for all sizes of business.
Mike Spicer - Director or Research and Economics from the British Chambers of Commerce will give an overall business perspective on the single most critical negotiations of a generation.
We also welcome David Bryant from the Visa Office who will discuss the implications of Brexit for employment of EU nationals as well as ensuring you are well placed to retain EU staff.
Following the presentations, there will be a Q&A session giving you a unique opportunity to clarify and delve into any key issues for your business.
