Our History After the Sandhill Park Hospital for the disabled closed in 1982, a group of staff banded together and started the Albemarle Charity to support people with mental and physical disabilities in Taunton. Originally a safe space for people to gather and network, the Albemarle now owns 18 flats specifically to house our core client group.
