About Us

Wells Cathedral School is an independent school with a mix of boys and girls aged 2-18 who have a variety of talents across various school stages: Little Wellies Nursery, Pre-Prep, Prep School, Senior School and Sixth Form. Our core belief and motto Esto Quod Es (Be What You Are) ties our School together and creates a happy, stimulating environment where all our pupils can thrive and develop their talents or even discover new ones.

But we are not just a school, as we run an extensive programme of concerts and events in Cedars Hall for everyone to enjoy, we also hire out our premises and with our range of facilities and our hospitality and technical teams, we can cater for a range of requirements, including networking breakfasts, family parties, events, sports activities, conferences, summer schools and more. We also support extended hires with accommodation options available.

And you can make the most of Wells Cathedral School’s world-renowned Specialist Music Programme with our Summer and Easter Schools, Holiday Courses, Instrument Skills Days, online courses and more.

We partner with Activate to provide a wide range of sports and adventure activity clubs for children to enjoy during the holidays with flexible options, making it perfect for childcare for those who need it or a fun activity to look forward to. Plus you can join us for one of our toddler groups or make a splash in our swimming pool with a retractable roof.

And finally, we hire out our premises for filming and you can make the most of our state-of-the-art recording facilities. We can record in-house for you using our own technicians and equipment or you can bring your own equipment, and you will be provided with a technician to help.
